Chantilly Patisserie has a vacancy for a dedicated and efficient Packer to join our small team of packing operatives. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to perform manual lifting and moving tasks.
Role and Responsibilities
- Hand packing our products into boxes
- Labelling the boxes to the correct product specifications
- Achieving targets for orders and dispatch, on time, and follow instruction from your department Supervisor
- Keeping records and completion of paperwork
- Lifting and moving products with due care and attention to and from storage areas
- Pallet wrapping ready for safe dispatch
- Use of metal detection machine
- To select and use appropriate stock, with due consideration for health, safety, and hygiene. In doing so, demonstrating awareness of pest infestation, damaged or faulty stock, and ‘Best before’, or ‘Use by’ dates.
- To rotate stock and to use in correct date order.
- Maintaining a clean working environment and clean down at end of shift
- Be compliant with food standards safety and hygiene rules
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or packing environment is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
- Ability to perform manual lifting and moving required by the role, with a focus on safe working practices.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
- A positive, friendly and proactive attitude towards teamwork.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 6am - 2.30pm
