Wine & Spirits Advisor (Part time)
About Us
CAVAVIN is a French wine merchant with over 40 years of heritage and 200+ stores worldwide. We are opening our Brixton store and are seeking passionate, knowledgeable individuals who want to be part of bringing our unique selection of French and international wines to the local community.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and advise customers on wine and food pairings, tailoring recommendations to their preferences.
- Share in-depth product knowledge with customers (French wines in particular).
- Support in-store tastings, events, and promotions.
- Operate the till and handle transactions.
- Maintain stock levels, receive deliveries, and keep the store well presented.
- Contribute to a warm, professional, and educational customer experience.
Requirements
✅ French speaker preferred
✅ Strong knowledge of wine (WSET Level 1 minimum, or other wine and spirits qualifications is desirable)
✅ Previous experience in a wine shop, wine bar, or specialist wine retail environment
✅ Confident in advising customers and upselling premium products
✅ Excellent communication and customer service skills
✅ Flexible to work evenings and weekends

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Pay: £12.21-£12.75 per hour
