Experienced Plumber’s Mate – Liverpool City Centre
£15–£17 per hour | CIS / Self-Employed | Full-Time
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Plumber’s Mate to work alongside a qualified plumber on a building project on James Street, Liverpool City Centre.
This is not a general labouring or trainee position. You must already have practical plumbing experience and be confident assisting with 1st and 2nd fix installations.
The Work
You will be assisting with:
- 1st fix hot and cold water pipework
- Bathroom plumbing installations
- Waste and soil pipework
- 2nd fix sanitaryware
- Final connections
- General plumbing installation work
- Preparing materials, fittings and tools
- Working from drawings and site instructions
Requirements
You must have:
- Previous plumbing experience
- Valid CSCS card – essential
- UTR and be set up for CIS payments
- Ability to work at a good pace and to a high standard
- Good knowledge of common plumbing tools, fittings and materials
- Reliability and good timekeeping
- Ability to work full-time for the duration of the project
- Right to work in the UK
A driving licence is preferred but not essential.
Pay & Employment Basis
£15–£17 per hour, depending on experience.
This position is offered on a self-employed subcontractor basis under the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS). Applicants must have a valid UTR and be registered/set up to receive CIS payments.
Payment will be subject to the appropriate CIS tax treatment following verification.
Location
James Street, Liverpool City Centre
The project is located very close to James Street train station, so it is easily accessible by public transport. A car or van is not required.
