We have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Night Care Assistant (Maternity Cover) to join our friendly and supportive team, working 48 hours per week.
As a Night Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive high-quality, person-centred care throughout the night. You will promote dignity, independence and wellbeing while supporting residents with their individual needs in a safe, comfortable and compassionate environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and support in line with individual care plans.
- Assisting residents with mobility, repositioning and transfers using appropriate moving and handling techniques.
- Carrying out regular night-time checks and responding promptly to call bells.
- Supporting residents with toileting, continence care and maintaining personal hygiene.
- Promoting residents' dignity, privacy and independence at all times.
- Completing accurate care records and reporting any concerns or changes in residents' wellbeing.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure a safe, calm and supportive environment throughout the night.
- Following all safeguarding, infection prevention and health and safety procedures.

- Previous experience in care is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Flexibility and the ability to work independently during night shifts.
Applicants must be aged 18 or over due to the nature of the role, which includes providing personal care.
