Job Summary
Minimum 10 years Landscaping Experience required.
Competent at completing landscaping projects from design from start to finish with works comprising setting out, levels, paving, fencing, sleeper works, levelling, light carpentry and brick work.
Must be proficient in Paving, Fencing, Levelling, Digger driving and most other aspects of Landscaping.
Show a Portfolio of work.
Own transport, basic range of hand tools and power tools. Everything else supplied.
Hired on a long-term Self employed basis.
We complete a mix of domestic projects from design and non-design projects.
We have been operating in Suffolk for 16 years and created Suffolk Garden Works in 2019 and are looking for someone to take on a role as team leader within a two man team. Teams are only ever 2 men (& 1 digger!) comprising 1 Forman and 1 hard working labourer. You will work closely with the experienced business owner throughout each project, updating him as you go with ideas, updates on materials, potential issues and so on.
Projects will be run super efficiently, we have a “never move anything twice” moto.
We generally run a 6-9 month lead time and are in the fortunate position to be able to cherry pick our projects, we are currently booked until July 2027.
Our Quality of finish is of the highest priority, MUST have perfectionist mind set. If this is not you please do not apply for the role.

Digger will always be on site.
Start time: 7.30am.
Finish time: Generally we expect a minimum 8.5 hour day.
All work within 45 mins of Stowmarket, any travel time outside of this will be considered part of the working day.
Projects from design have a duration ranging from 2 to 14 weeks and involve every single aspect of landscaping.
We would consider taking on an already established two man team who would wish to stick together.
