Location: East Midlands Gateway - Derby
We're currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join a busy and professional operation delivering ambient goods to major food retail distribution centres across the UK. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering palletised loads to well-known food retail distribution centres and other major RDCs.
✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
Multi-drop deliveries to food retail distribution centres nationwide
Average of 2 drops per shift
Driving throughout the UK as part of a nationwide delivery network
Transporting ambient goods on pallets
Majority of deliveries are unloaded by the distribution centre, occasionally (approximately 2% of deliveries) you may be required to assist with unloading
Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
✅THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence, Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
Minimum 8 months recent Class 1 driving experience
Maximum of 6 penalty points on your licence
Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations
