We’re looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Cluster Sales Manager to take ownership of pre-booked sales across three exciting venues in the heart of Brighton.
This is a hands-on sales role for someone who knows how to build relationships, spot opportunities and turn conversations into bookings. From corporate events and private parties to Christmas celebrations, student events and large group bookings, you’ll be responsible for getting our venues in front of the right people and driving pre-booked revenue.
With all three venues based in central Brighton, you’ll have a fantastic playground to sell – and we want someone who is excited about getting out into the city and becoming a recognisable face within Brighton’s business, hospitality and events community.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take ownership of the sales pipeline across all three venues, proactively generating new business while developing relationships with existing customers, companies, agencies and event organisers.
This isn’t a role where you’ll simply wait for enquiries to arrive. We want someone who’ll get out there, knock on doors, attend networking events, visit local businesses and find new reasons for people to use our venues.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving year-on-year growth in pre-booked sales across all three Brighton venues
- Generating new corporate, private hire, party and event business
- Building a strong database of Brighton and Sussex businesses
- Proactively visiting local businesses and developing new relationships
- Creating partnerships with businesses, suppliers, agencies, hotels and event organisers
- Representing our venues at local networking and business events
- Developing opportunities for traditionally quieter and off-peak sessions
- Managing enquiries from initial contact through to the event itself
- Responding to enquiries quickly, professionally and commercially
- Upselling food, drinks, packages and experiences to maximise booking value
- Creating effective weekly, quarterly and seasonal sales plans
- Maintaining an accurate and active sales pipeline
- Working closely with the management teams across all three venues
- Supporting the delivery of larger and high-value events
- Following up after events to generate feedback, repeat bookings and recommendations
Become part of Brighton's business community
Brighton has an incredible mix of independent businesses, major employers, agencies, universities, hospitality operators, event organisers and creative companies – and we want our Cluster Sales Manager to build genuine relationships within that community.
You’ll become an ambassador for our venues, making sure local businesses know what we can offer and positioning our spaces as exciting, versatile destinations for everything from daytime meetings and networking events to Christmas parties, celebrations and full venue hires.
Who we're looking for
You’ll be proactive, confident and comfortable taking ownership of your own sales pipeline.
You might already work within hospitality, events, venues, nightlife or leisure, or you could come from a strong B2B sales or events background and be looking for something more dynamic.
Most importantly, you’ll enjoy meeting people and creating opportunities.
You’ll need to be:
- Commercially focused and target driven
- Confident generating new business
- An excellent communicator and relationship builder
- Comfortable networking and approaching businesses
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple enquiries, events and priorities
- Passionate about delivering brilliant guest experiences
- Confident working with multiple venue management teams
- Motivated by hitting and exceeding sales targets
Why join us?
This isn't a traditional desk-based sales job.
You'll have three fantastic venues in the centre of one of the UK's most vibrant cities to sell, with the freedom to get out into Brighton, develop relationships, create partnerships and build a strong network of your own.
You'll see the results of your work first-hand – from the initial conversation with a client to seeing a packed venue on the night of their event.
If you love Brighton, love people and get a buzz from turning opportunities into successful events, we want to hear from you.
