Role Purpose: The Assembly Operative is responsible for safely and efficiently carrying out assembly tasks using machines and handheld tools. The role involves assembling plastic products to the required specification, while maintaining quality standards and following all health and safety and operational procedures.
· Follow all health and safety guidelines to protect yourself and others.
· Keep the work area safe, clean and efficient by following housekeeping routines and procedures.
· Follow quality policies and procedures to support compliance with the Quality Management System.
· Always work to product specifications and complete quality checks to the required standard.
· Set up and operate machines and handheld tools safely and efficiently in line with operational procedures.
· Complete all required paperwork accurately and to the required standard, record works order times accurately.
· Report any issues promptly to the Team Leader or Lead Operator.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assembly, warehouse, or manufacturing environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with hand tools and power tools is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment
- Good manual dexterity and physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading work instructions and recording data
This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking hands-on experience in assembly operations within a supportive team environment.
Hours
40hrs per week Monday to Thursday - 6am to 4pm
