Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Gujarati speaking Health Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support care planning and implement individualised care plans tailored to each person's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for those in your care.
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with the wider healthcare team to ensure seamless delivery of care services.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Utilise IT systems to update care records and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Basic IT literacy for maintaining electronic care records.
- A caring attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Flexibility to adapt to different shifts and client needs.
