Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman/woman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across residential and commercial properties. This role requires a versatile individual with a broad skill set in carpentry, roofing, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, welding, and fabrication. The ideal applicant will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently to ensure all projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct carpentry tasks such as repairs, installations, and modifications to structures and fixtures.
- Perform roofing repairs and maintenance to ensure safety and durability.
- Carry out construction painting to improve or restore surfaces.
- Handle plumbing repairs including pipe fixing, leak detection, and fixture replacements.
- Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, repointing, or concrete repairs.
- Carry out welding tasks for structural or decorative purposes.
- Manage electrical work including wiring, socket installation, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively across various projects.
- Fabricate custom components or modifications as required for specific tasks.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding or electrical work is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools is essential.
- Experience in fabrication or custom building projects will be considered an advantage.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or plans is beneficial.
- Prior experience working independently on maintenance or repair projects is preferred.
