Coven Care Homes provides residential care for children and young people aged 7 to 18 with emotional, behavioural, and mild learning needs. We offer small, nurturing homes where children feel safe, valued, and supported to build confidence and independence.
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up, or an existing Manager who wants to register with a small, two bed home.
Spring House is a calm and supportive setting where relationships come first. We work closely with families, local authorities, and professionals to secure positive and lasting outcomes for every child.
The Role
As Registered Manager of Spring House, you will have full responsibility for the leadership, care standards, and regulatory compliance of the home. You will ensure the home meets the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards, while creating a stable and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
[Home Management]
- Lead the day to day running of the home
- Maintain high standards of care
- Complete quality assurance checks and audits
- Embed the therapeutic model in daily practice
[Care and Safeguarding]
- Work within statutory frameworks and regulations
- Promote children’s rights, equality, and inclusion
- Oversee safeguarding, risk assessments, and missing from home procedures
[Team Leadership]
- Lead, support, and develop the staff team
- Deliver supervisions, appraisals, and training
- Ensure staff compliance with safer working practice
[Partnership Working]
- Build strong relationships with families and professionals
- Support community engagement
[Financial Oversight]
- Manage budgets, rotas, and spending
- Oversee pocket money and financial records

Requirements
- Eligible to register with Ofsted as a Children’s Home Manager
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Minimum six months experience managing a children’s home
- Evidence of positive Ofsted outcomes
