To share responsibility for the welfare of the children at the Club, following procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality care
To be vigilant and protect children from harm or abuse, reporting any concerns immediately in accordance with the safeguarding and whistle blowing Policies
To assist with school collections, walking the children to the Club from St Mary’s PS and also travelling with the minibus driver to collect children from other schools in the parish
To assist in providing creative and appropriate play and learning opportunities
To provide additional assistance for children with particular difficulties (eg communication, behaviour, mobility) being particularly mindful of safeguarding and health and safety
To assist with the preparation and serving of healthy snacks and the supervision of homework
Essential
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Children's Care Learning and Development or equivalent qualification
Experience of working with children in the 4- 11 year old age group in a paid or unpaid capacity for a reasonable period of time
Ability to interact enthusiastically with other team members and the children
Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety
Awareness of the need for confidentiality and boundaries
Good standard of English and Maths
