Driver Guide
We are an Edinburgh-based tour operator looking for professional and customer-focused Driver Guides to join our team.
We operate a fleet of vehicles ranging from 7 to 53 seats and provide guided tours throughout Scotland, including the Highlands, Loch Ness, Glencoe, Stirling, the Isle of Skye and other popular visitor destinations.
As a Driver Guide, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers while providing informative commentary and delivering excellent customer service throughout the journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive guided tours throughout Scotland, primarily to the Highlands and other visitor destinations.
- Safely operate company vehicles appropriate to your licence category.
- Welcome passengers and assist them during their tour.
- Provide engaging and informative commentary about Scottish history, culture and landmarks.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service.
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure tours run efficiently.
Requirements
- Hold the appropriate UK driving licence for the vehicle you will operate. Category D licence holders are encouraged to apply.
- Meet our vehicle insurance eligibility requirements.
- Have a clean driving record.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be confident speaking to groups in a professional and friendly manner.
- Have knowledge of Scottish history and culture or be willing to learn.
- Be reliable, flexible and available to work weekends and peak tourist seasons.
- Previous tour guiding or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
Pay and Benefits
