Opportunity to join a busy Electrical & Fire Alarm contractor who cover long term servicing and installation contracts across south and south-east London.
As a Fire & Life Safety Systems Tester, you’ll be responsible for carrying out routine, non-technical testing and visual inspection of fire and life safety systems across their live projects. The role ensures that fire alarms, emergency lighting, automatic opening vents and dry risers are present, accessible and functioning as expected, and that all checks are accurately recorded.
This is a non-technical, routine-testing position. You’ll perform scheduled functional checks and visual inspections following set procedures. Any defects, faults or system activations identified are reported promptly to the relevant manager and to qualified contractors.
There are three core parts to this role:
- Weekly inspections/checks
- Monthly inspections/checks
- Accurate reporting/recording of these inspections
Full training will be provided.
We’re looking for someone who’s reliable with good attention to detail – this role is crucial in inspecting and reporting critical safety systems to ensure they’re working as they should. You’ll need to be well organised with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Any experience within facilities management, caretaking or premises management would be a real plus.
Monday to Friday with a salary around £26k to £28k. All travel and out of pocket expenses will be paid for.
