Are you someone who enjoys helping others get started, feels confident using new systems, and likes keeping things organised and running smoothly?
As part of a newly created Operations and Logistics team, we have an opportunity for an Onboarder / Trainer. You will support users as they go live on a secure collaboration platform designed for international defence and government programmes.
This platform enables trusted cross-border information sharing.
As we continue to scale, you will play an important part in supporting high-profile programmes and a growing user base.
Acting as a key member of the Onboarding and Training team, and deputy to the Onboarding and Training Manager, you will lead onboarding events, support first-time system access, and deliver engaging training experiences.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across Service Desk, Logistics and User Account teams, taking a proactive and structured approach to delivery.
This role is based in Farnborough and, to support effective collaboration with the team, you’ll typically spend around two days a week onsite.
We’re also open to discussing a compressed working week where this suits both you and the role.
There may also be occasional travel to UK and European sites, depending on business need.
What you'll be doing:
-
Lead onboarding events, including issuing equipment, account credentials, and guiding users through first-time system access and configuration.
-
Deliver face-to-face training sessions and demonstrations to help users get started on the platform.
-
Provide tailored support during and outside onboarding events, including one-to-one assistance where needed.
-
Coordinate with Service Desk, User Account and Logistics teams to support smooth preparation and delivery of onboarding activities.
-
Ensure compliance with Security Operating Procedures and Acceptable User Policy, including completion of required documentation and feedback.
-
Maintain and improve onboarding procedures, analyse user feedback, and support ongoing service improvements.
What you’ll bring:
-
Experience delivering onboarding or training in a technical or systems-based environment.
-
Good understanding of user account setup, password management and Microsoft Outlook configuration.
-
Ability to lead sessions independently and adapt your approach to different audiences, environments and connection methods.
-
Experience working with operational processes, documentation and data handling with a high level of accuracy.
-
A structured and analytical approach to problem solving and troubleshooting in complex information technology environments.
-
Security Cleared to at least SC level, or eligible for Security Clearance
It would be great if you had:
-
Client or customer-facing experience.
-
Understanding of service delivery models in operational environments.
-
Experience creating reporting dashboards for stakeholders and management team.
If you’re interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we’re looking for, please do apply, we’d love to hear from you!
