Ten hours a week, and they're guaranteed
A lot of the evening cleaning work in Brighton comes on a zero-hours contract. This one doesn't. Your ten hours are in writing, at the same office, Monday to Friday, 7pm until 9pm.
So you won't be driving across town at short notice to cover someone else's site, and you won't be asked to work weekends. You're paid every Friday for the week before, straight into your bank account.
It's the sort of shift that works if your daytime is already taken up with something, whether that's a course, childcare or another job.
Who we are
Acies is a commercial cleaning company based in Brighton. We're education-led and on a mission to freshen up an old industry. In practice that means we train people properly, give them decent equipment, and expect a professional standard rather than a rushed one.
Your evening, in short
You'll look after one of Brighton's best offices, working on your own to get it ready for the team arriving the next morning.
- Carry out a full clean to a 5-star standard - kitchens, washrooms, floors, desks and touchpoints etc
- Reset the space so it looks and smells cared for, not just wiped over
- Work safely. You're on site alone, so safety comes first, every time
- Leave your equipment clean and ready for the next shift - we supply everything, so there's nothing to buy
- Flag anything that needs attention: low stock, damage, a problem area
- Complete a short daily check on your phone so we know the site's in good shape
What we're looking for
- You clean to a high standard, and you notice the details other people walk past
- You manage your own time well - two hours, one site, you decide the order you work in
- You're comfortable working independently, and you speak up when something needs saying
- You want a role you can settle into for the long term, not for a few weeks
- Professional cleaning or housekeeping experience is welcome, but we'll train you either way
The role is active - you'll be on your feet and moving for the full two hours.
