We are currently looking for an organised and proactive Lettings Administrator to join our busy and friendly team at Martin & Co Oxford.
This is a permanent position and would suit someone with strong administrative and customer service skills. Previous experience within lettings or property would be advantageous, although we would also consider candidates with relevant administrative experience.
Role: Lettings Administrator
Salary: £25,000 per annum Uncapped monthly commission – OTE £30,000+
Bonus: Commission scheme available per completed tenancy/re-let
Key duties:
The role will primarily involve progressing new tenancy applications and tenant changes from application through to move-in, including:
- Progressing tenancy applications through our referencing and lettings systems
- Completing and monitoring reference checks
- Liaising with landlords, tenants and applicants
- Preparing tenancy agreements and associated documentation
- Confirming and monitoring required payments
- Obtaining signatures and ensuring documentation is completed correctly
- Completing Right to Rent checks
- Scheduling check-ins and key releases
- Processing tenant changes and tenancy administration
- Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
- Providing general administrative support to the lettings team
- Producing reports where required
Required skills & experience:
Candidates must be:
- Have strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Be comfortable managing a busy and varied workload
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deliver a high standard of customer service both in person and over the telephone
- Be confident communicating with landlords, tenants and colleagues
- Be able to prioritise effectively and work to deadlines
- Work well as part of a busy team while also being capable of working independently
Previous experience within lettings, estate agency, property management or a similar administrative environment would be beneficial but is not essential for the right candidate.
Our Oxford office is fast-paced, so we are looking for someone who is organised, dependable and able to remain calm and professional while managing multiple tasks and delivering consistently high standards of service.
