Overview
We are seeking a dedicated housekeeper/cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across our cosy children's day nursery. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in hospitality or janitorial services to contribute to a safe and welcoming environment. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality cleaning services as well as preparing simple home cooked meals for 30 children each day.
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals and snacks for children.
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces according to health and safety standards.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used efficiently and stored properly after use.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Restock supplies such as toiletries and cleaning materials as needed.
Skills
- Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and report issues clearly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
