We are recruiting for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing specialist contractor based in West London, delivering high-end refurbishment and renovation projects across some of London's most prestigious residential areas.
Working within the Aftercare Division, you will support the commercial management of small works, variations and aftercare projects, typically valued up to £1m.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cost estimates, budgets and financial forecasts.
- Prepare and analyse subcontractor and supplier tenders.
- Assist with procurement and subcontractor appointments.
- Measure and value works on site and from drawings.
- Assist with valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs and identify budget variances.
- Maintain accurate commercial and contract documentation.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams.
- Provide administrative support to the commercial management team
About You
- 1–2 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant Quantity Surveying role.
- Experience within high-end residential refurbishment is advantageous but not essential.
- A degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction or a related discipline.
- Good understanding of construction costs, measurement and commercial management.
- Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Proactive, motivated and keen to take on responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
