Hours of Work:
Part time / Permanent
8am – 12pm – Monday to Friday – 20 hours per week
Position is part time with the opportunity to extend working hours to cover general maintenance and driving duties when required.
Main Purpose of Job:
We are an established manufacturer and supplier of specialist Temperature Measuring Equipment and Calibration Services based in Southport and we are looking for a reliable cleaner/caretaker to join our team.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring both the interior and exterior of the buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard
- Cleaning of engineering manufacturing workshops, laboratories, offices and canteen work areas
- Maintaining stock cleaning products and re-ordering between sites when required
- Use of company floor polishing machine
- Some general maintenance handyman duties, interior and exterior painting, unclogging sinks, putting up shelves, etc.
- Manage recycling of paper, pallets, plastics
- Driving duties using company vehicle
- Must be flexible and trustworthy with an approachable and helpful attitude
- Ensure Health & Safety requirements are adhered to
Experience + Requirements:
Preferred experience of cleaning in an engineering manufacturing and office environment
Be able to work with minimal supervision
General maintenance tasks
Manual handling
Knowledge and understanding of the health and safety aspects of the role and surroundings.
Clean driving licence
