Overview:
Based at our manufacturing facility in Throsk, Stirling, the Sawyer / Labourer will assist in the machining of timber products and provide general support within the timberframe factory.
Ideally, you will have experience within a timber frame, manufacturing, or labouring environment and be comfortable using handheld tools and machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Working within our factory at Throsk.
- Machining and packaging timber using various workshop machinery to specified sizes.
- Working indoors at saw machinery or outdoors on tasks as required.
- Using appropriate power tools.
- Maintaining good housekeeping within the work area.
- Adhering to health and safety policies and procedures within the factory and yard environment.
Required:
- Ability to follow instructions and plan work carefully and accurately.
- Basic understanding of fabrication and cutting lists.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work successfully as part of a team.
Please note: The role will involve manual handling, including lengths of timber and sheets of boarding, as well as regular stretching and bending. Candidates should be physically fit and agile.
