To support the delivery of Oakland International’s sustainability strategy and contribute to the organisation’s journey towards achieving net zero by 2040.
You will work closely with the Sustainability Manager to support the coordination of sustainability initiatives, research new projects, and monitor and report on key environmental and social performance metrics. Through effective communication, data analysis, and a hands-on approach, the role will help ensure sustainability activities are visible, measurable, and embedded across the business, whilst engaging colleagues at all depots.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities
- Site Sustainability Engagement
· Maintain and update sustainability signage across all sites, ensuring information is accurate, engaging and consistent
· Regularly refresh content to reflect progress and new initiatives
· Ensure signage is mirrored across depots
Sustainability Marketing and Communications
· Create short, engaging sustainability content, such as fun fact videos, that reflect our values across the depots
· Research and prepare relevant sustainability awards and certifications
Data Monitoring and Reporting
· Use established sustainability platforms to track progress against targets, roadmaps and audit outcomes
· Monitor timelines, KPIs and performance across key sustainability pillars
· Compile monitored data into monthly reports to distribute to managers within the business
· Help with the collection of information required to complete carbon footprint assessment
Supporting the Sustainability Manager
· Support Sustainability Manger in developing initiatives across core sustainability pillars: Fleet, Packaging, Renewable Energy, Efficiency and Waste
· Assist in the development and delivery of sustainability goals aligned to achieving net zero by 2040

Essential
· 5 x GSCE A – C (inc. English & Maths)
· 3 x A Levels A – E, or equivalent
· Full UK Driving Licence

- First degree or similar qualification
- Professional experience in environmental role

Weekly working hours: 30 rising to 40 by agreement
