- Starting salary - The basic hourly rate for this role begins at £15.15 per hour (full time equivalent salary £27,577 rising to £28,292 per annum working 35 hours per week)
- Sumburgh Island Allowance - £2,184 per annum

Your role will involve operating the safety barriers to allow the safe landing and take-off of aircraft. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be committed to team working. An element of outdoor work will be applicable to this post. Previous experience within a customer service environment is desirable and the ability to work with integrity and confidentiality is essential.
It’s really important that you have a flexible approach and attitude to your work and are willing to work shifts which include early starts and late finishes, as well as weekends. Sometimes flights can be delayed and of course the weather can disrupt things, so your flexibility will also involve you working to late on short notice.
