Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage
- Manage stock levels, including receiving deliveries, organising shelves, and ensuring medication expiry dates are monitored
- Support with medication administration under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient information, and inventory updates
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pharmacy counter assistant here in the UK is required
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors in prescription handling
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- A recognised qualification or training in pharmacy assistance or related field is desirable but not essential
