Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Apprentice to join our finance team. This entry-level role offers valuable hands-on experience in financial processes and accounting software, providing a solid foundation for a career in financial services. The successful candidate will assist with various administrative and accounting tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of our finance department. Overview of Tasks:
- Support the accounts payable process, including data entry and invoice processing using accounting software Sage
- Processing of daily bank transactions accurately and on time, assist with maintaining bank reconciliations on a daily and weekly basis.
- Sales Ledger and Credit Control Support
- Purchas Ledger Support
- Management Accounting (developed over time)
- Assist with maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of transactions
- Contribute to the organisation of financial documents and records for audit purposes
- Learn and adhere to company policies regarding financial procedures and compliance standards
Qualifications
- A strong interest in finance, accounting, or related fields
- Basic knowledge of accounting software such as Sage desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Experience with data entry and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work accurately under supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Previous experience or coursework related to accounts payable or financial services is a plus but not mandatory
