We are seeking an experienced and motivated School Manager to provide maternity cover within our School leadership team.
Reporting to the Dean of School, you will be responsible for leading professional services and administrative operations, ensuring the effective delivery of services that support an excellent student and staff experience. As the senior professional services lead within the School, you will work closely with academic and professional services colleagues to deliver strategic objectives, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with University policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop School administration and professional services teams.
- Support strategic planning and operational delivery across the School.
- Oversee academic administration, governance, compliance and risk management activities.
- Manage projects, resources and budgets to support School priorities.
- Analyse data and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Build effective relationships with central professional services and external partners.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and collaborative working environment.
About You
You will have:
- A degree, professional qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Significant experience of operational management within higher education or a similarly complex organisation.
- Strong leadership, organisational and project management skills.
- Experience of managing teams, resources, systems and processes.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management abilities.
- A track record of delivering service improvement and operational excellence.
