Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG Pipe Welder / Fabricator specialising in industrial pipework to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication tasks to support various industrial projects. Duties
- Execute MIG welding on various pipe materials, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards.
- Perform TIG welding as required for specialised or precise fabrication tasks.
- Fabricate and assemble pipework components using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal working techniques.
- Use mechanical knowledge to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for accurate assembly and fabrication.
- Work with a variety of materials including sheet metal and industrial piping systems.
- Assist in the installation, modification, and repair of pipe systems in accordance with project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure precision and compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in MIG welding, with additional skills in TIG welding preferred.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and standards.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of assembly processes and pipe system installation.
- Experience working with sheet metal and industrial piping is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint reading.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.
