ANZUK Education is working with several welcoming and supportive secondary schools in Gloucester seeking reliable and confident Cover Supervisors. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, build behaviour management skills, or take a step toward a future teaching career.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring pupils remain engaged with their learning and that behaviour expectations are maintained.
This role offers flexibility, with opportunities for both full-time and part-time work depending on your availability.
The Role
- Supervise classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 during teacher absences
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure pupils remain on task
- Maintain a calm and productive learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and behaviour
- Support the wider school community where required
Role Requirements – Ideal Candidate Will
- Have experience working with young people or within an educational setting
- Demonstrate strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Be confident leading a classroom and managing groups of students
- Show a genuine interest in education and supporting student development
- Be adaptable, reliable, and proactive
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
- Have a valid Right to Work in the UK
