Mathnasium Winchester (SO23 8AT)
Salary: £24,500 base plus uncapped performance bonus (OTE £35,000)
Hours: Full time, 35 to 40 hours per week | Location: In person
About Us
At Mathnasium, we believe that confidence in maths changes lives.
Every week, we meet children who have started to believe they are not maths people. We help them rebuild confidence, develop genuine understanding and discover that they can succeed.
For parents, that often means less frustration at homework time, reduced anxiety around school and renewed confidence in their child’s future.
As the world’s leading maths-only tutoring provider, Mathnasium has helped millions of students develop stronger mathematical skills. Our Winchester centre is part of a growing UK network bringing that impact to local families.
This is not simply a business development role. Every family you engage and every student you enrol creates an opportunity to change a child’s educational journey.
The Role
This is a newly created role focused on outreach and enrolment. Approximately 60% of your time will be spent developing community partnerships and generating enquiries, with the remainder focused on meeting families and converting enquiries into enrolments.
Every enrolment begins with trust. Parents are making important decisions about their children's education, and they want to work with people who genuinely care about helping their child succeed.
While experience in sales or business development can be valuable, we're ultimately looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, listening to families and helping them find the right support.
Why This Role Matters
Many families are unaware that support is available when their child struggles with maths.
By building relationships with schools, community organisations and local families, you will help connect children with a programme that can improve confidence, academic performance and long-term opportunities.
Your work will directly contribute to both the growth of the centre and the success of the students we serve.
What You Will Do
- Build relationships with local schools, headteachers, SENCOs and PTAs to organise events and raise awareness.
- Connect with sports clubs, community groups and family venues across Winchester and the surrounding area.
- Plan and attend community events, school fairs and pop up sessions.
- Support local marketing campaigns, social media activity and promotional materials.
- Meet with parents, run student assessments and present personalised learning plans.
- Guide families from first enquiry through to enrolment.
- Help with day-to-day centre activities during afternoon and evening hours.
- Track your lead sources so we can measure what is working.
Who This Role Is For
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, connecting with people and making a positive impact in their local community.
You might come from sales, recruitment, admissions, estate agency, membership organisations, education support, events or community engagement. Equally, you may have developed strong relationship-building skills through volunteering, PTAs, youth organisations or other community activities.
You'll probably enjoy this role if:
- You enjoy meeting new people and building trust quickly.
- You are comfortable representing a respected local organisation.
- You are motivated by goals and enjoy seeing measurable results.
- You care about helping children and families succeed.
- You are organised, self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
- You enjoy a varied role that combines outreach, relationship-building and family engagement.
We're interested in what you can do, not simply where you've worked before.
Candidates must also have GCSE Maths at grade C/4 or above, and have a full UK driving licence with access to a car.
What We Offer
- Uncapped bonus tied to every new enrolment you generate.
- Flexible, self-directed mornings with centre hours from mid-afternoon.
- Full training provided. No prior maths teaching experience needed.
- Career development as the centre grows.
- Family and friends tuition discount.
