At Nova Care Group, we deliver safe, consistent and personalised care to young people up to the age of 25. Our Cover Team plays a vital role in maintaining continuity, stability and high standards of care across our services and this is where you come in.
We are looking for an approachable and proactive Cover Team Manager to join our team based in Peterlee. This pivotal role will be responsible for leading and supporting our Cover Team, building strong professional relationships, providing effective supervision and ensuring team members remain motivated, supported, skilled and prepared for permanent placement.
The successful candidate will be confident in managing people, providing coaching and pastoral support, addressing concerns and having challenging conversations when required. You will work closely with Learning & Development, Regional Managers and the wider Operations team to ensure our Cover Team members are fully trained, supported and equipped to deliver the highest standards of care.

Requirements for our Cover Team Manager:
We're looking for a confident people leader who is passionate about supporting and developing others and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be:

An experienced manager in a care environment or similar
- Able to build effective professional relationships across the organisation

An excellent communicator with strong attention to detail

Confident in performance management and having difficult conversations

Resilient and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment
- Experienced in supporting staff through induction and probation periods

Confident in using different IT packages such as Microsoft Office
- Qualified to a Level 3 in Residential Childcare (desirable)
