We're looking for an experienced Business Manager to be the Director's right hand and support the growth of a successful accountancy practice and the imminent launch of additional companies within the group. You'll act as our Integrator, turning the Director's vision into a clear plan, holding the team accountable, and making sure the business runs smoothly day to day.
Working closely with our Operations Manager, you will own strategic projects, people development and culture, handle HR administration, and keep an eye out for risks, opportunities and efficiencies across the business. This is a senior, trusted role for someone who genuinely wants to see the business thrive.
The Role:
As Business Manager, you will:
- Have cross function oversight with full visibility of operations, people and priorities across the business
- Take ownership of people matters that fall outside of individual managers remits including recruitment support, people development, performance conversations and career pathways
- Turn the Directors priorities and ideas into structured plans and drive them through to delivery without constant direction
- Elite problem solving ability. Independently manage or unblock issues that would land on the Directors desk including operations, people related or administrative, using sound judgement
- Own the culture and keep the team engaged, motivated and well supported
- Handle HR administration, including contracts, policies and onboarding
- Coordinate projects across the practice, keeping them on time and on track
- Spot risks, opportunities and inefficiencies, and act on them
- Be a genuine thinking partner and peer to the Director, with the business's best interests at heart
