Our client is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to join their growing Operations Team. This role will involve coordinating and managing international import and export shipments, ensuring the smooth movement of freight across air, sea and road transport modes while delivering a high level of customer service.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Coordinating import and export shipments, ensuring customer requirements are met
- Liaising with customers, carriers, suppliers and internal teams to facilitate the smooth movement of freight
- Providing customers with shipment updates and resolving any operational issues
- Preparing quotations and supporting customers with suitable freight solutions
- Ensuring shipping documentation is completed accurately and in line with regulatory requirements
- Monitoring shipment progress and proactively managing any delays or exceptions
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting invoicing and administrative processes
- Delivering a high level of customer service while building strong client relationships
About you:
- Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain operations
- Good understanding of international transportation and shipping processes
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Proficient in using IT systems and operational software
