Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Scaffolder with a valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) license to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, dismantling, and maintaining scaffolding structures on a variety of construction sites. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient access for workers and materials while adhering to strict safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects.
Duties
- Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures safely and efficiently according to project specifications and safety regulations
- Inspect scaffolding regularly for stability, safety hazards, and compliance with health and safety standards
- Operate HGV vehicles to transport scaffolding materials and equipment between sites
- Fabricate custom scaffolding parts or modifications on-site to meet specific project requirements
- Collaborate with site managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to coordinate work activities effectively
- Maintain detailed records of scaffold inspections, modifications, and safety checks
Qualifications
- Valid HGV license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a scaffolder in construction environments
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools for assembly and fabrication tasks
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and safety instructions accurately
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to scaffolding and construction sites
- Physical fitness to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety compliance
