Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. As a Daycare Assistant, you will support the daily activities of the nursery, helping to foster the development and well-being of each child in your care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote early childhood development.
- Provide high-quality childcare in a safe and engaging environment.
- Support children’s learning through play, ensuring that all activities are age-appropriate.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting.
- Observe and record children's progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff members.
- Help manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is desirable but not essential.
- Level 3 childcare qualification
- Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with children and parents.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and positive attitude.
