Senior Residential Support Worker

Salary: £16.12 - £19.24 per hour
Hours: Full-time (42 hours/week) | Includes 14-hour shifts, sleep-ins, weekends, and holidays on a rota.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Experience: Proven experience working in a children's residential home.
- Licence: A full UK driving licence.
- Work Eligibility: Right to work in the UK (Note: We are unable to offer sponsorship).
- Skills: The confidence to lead shifts, mentor staff, and support children who have experienced trauma.
- Desirable: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and experience with challenging behaviours.
The Role
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will champion safeguarding while helping children and young people build independence. Your key duties will include:
- Leading shifts and overseeing the day-to-day running of the home.
- Providing high-quality, trauma-informed care and emotional support.
- Mentoring and supporting Residential Support Workers.
- Completing high-quality records, care plans, and reports.
- Collaborating with external professionals (Social Workers, Education, Healthcare).
