Overview:
Bancon Homes have a great opportunity for a Management Accountant to join their busy finance team. We are seeking a qualified accountant or an individual qualified by experience who can demonstrate strong technical accounting expertise and a proven track record of producing accurate management information.
What you’ll do
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and associated reporting for Company and Group Board’s.
- Assist in preparation of cash flow forecasts and report as appropriate. Monitor performance against such forecasts and report on variances as appropriate.
- Assist in preparation for annual audit of Homes and Construction entities and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as appropriate.
- Key involvement in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for the Homes and Construction entities.
- Assist in regulatory compliance where appropriate, Including, but not limited to, VAT, PAYE, NI, CIS, ONS submissions.
- Assist FD, and on occasion Group Finance, in preparation of ad-hoc information and analysis requests as appropriate.
- Liaise with Central Finance function to ensure processes and controls as they effect management reporting process function effectively.
- Review monthly commissions submitted by the sales team
- Take a leading role in any project work as and when required e.g. systems upgrades
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment.
What you’ll bring
- Technical accounting expertise and experience of preparing management and statutory accounts.
- Ability to manage relevant compliance requirements.
- Track record of delivering high-quality work and adding value in previous finance roles.
- Strong drive and ability to take initiative on, and manage, workstreams/projects.
- Commercial outlook with ability to challenge business and feed into strategic decision-making process.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work in teams and build relationships with, and influence, key personnel in wider business.
- IT and systems literate with ability to drive systems improvement where required.
