Due to internal investment we are recruiting for an experienced engineer to become our Service team Supervisor to lead our specialist team of Dairy Service Engineers across the region.
As a company we provide dairy farms with advanced milking technologies, including robotic milking machines, milking parlours, cooling and related dairy equipment.
Location:
- This is a hands on Supervisory role. You’ll spend approximately 75% of your time out farms across the local regions.
- 25% site based in Attleborough.
Hours:
Full-time, 39 hours per week Monday - Friday, some on call will be required on a rota basis (1 week in 3 at the moment)

Duties:
- Installation, servicing and responding to breakdowns of automated milking systems and conventional parlours.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the dairy service engineering team to ensure timely and effective maintenance and repairs of dairy machinery.
- Provide technical guidance on mechanical systems, schematics, and equipment repair procedures to team members.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex mechanical issues, including equipment malfunctions related to refrigeration, air conditioning, and other dairy processing systems.
- Oversee the execution of maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.
- Support construction projects or upgrades involving dairy facilities by providing expert mechanical knowledge and supervision.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring staff, conducting performance reviews, and encouraging skill development.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, schematics, and maintenance logs for accountability and future reference.
Requirements:
- An interest in Dairy farming or agriculture.
- Prior supervisory experience or a senior engineer looking to step up.
- Hold a recognised engineering qualification.
- Hands on Mechanical, Hydraulic and electrical engineering capability in a similar role.
- Good communicator.
- Able to multitask and prioritise workload.
- IT Proficiency.
- Ability to work on own and as a part of our team either in our workshop or on customers sites.
- Full UK Driving Licence
