Role Background
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practitioner, to work as part of the team delivering KidsTime workshops across Bradford. KidsTime is an inclusive, family-focused workshop programme designed to support children, parents, and carers affected by mental health challenges within the family. This service plays a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of people of all ages within our community, and this role is central to ensuring they continue to thrive. Working closely with the Service Co-ordinator, Mental Health Lead and Drama Facilitator, you will collaborate on the planning, delivery and monitoring of the service, helping to ensure the sessions run smoothly and safely, and are effective and engaging for the families attending.
PLEASE NOTE KidsTime workshops run weekly on Thursday evenings from 4pm 8pm at 4 different Family Hub locations across Bradford. A requirement of the role will be to attend these sessions as part of your working hours.
Role Purpose
As the KidsTime Practitioner, you'll be a friendly and approachable face for our service members, building relationships with them to engage them with the service and provide emotional support during workshops. You will support with some of the logistical aspects of workshop delivery, including ordering food for the workshops, organising transport to workshops for families, and gathering meaningful feedback at the end of sessions. You'll also provide some administrative support to the service, which could include processing referrals and contacting families to organise home visits and workshop attendance, depending on service needs. By acting with compassion, empathy and respect in supporting service members attending KidsTime workshops, youll be positively contributing to the organisations vision: No one in Bradford District and Craven has to face a mental health issue alone.

To provide administrative and logistical support for the delivery of KidsTime workshops

To provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for service members to discuss issues or concerns during KidsTime workshops

To be confident in managing risk and incidents that may arise during workshops, including safeguarding concerns

To maintain up to date electronic records of support, including service member information, adhering to data protection regulations and best practices

Successfully complete all mandatory and role-specific training to ensure best practices in safeguarding, management of incidents, data protection, health and safety and mental health awareness
