Are you a passionate Registered Nurse looking to specialise in stoma care and make a meaningful difference to patients' lives? Join Vyne, part of Optimum Medical, and help deliver expert clinical support that empowers patients to live with confidence and independence.
About Vyne
Vyne is a specialist home delivery and clinical support service dedicated to improving outcomes for patients requiring urology, continence and stoma products. By combining expert clinical guidance with a seamless home delivery service, we help patients manage their condition with confidence while supporting healthcare professionals and reducing pressure on healthcare services.
About the Role
As our Clinical Nurse Specialist (Stoma Care), you’ll provide specialist clinical support, education and advice to patients receiving stoma products through the Vyne prescription and home delivery service.
This is a rewarding, patient-focused role where you’ll work autonomously across the community, assessing patient needs, recommending appropriate stoma products, delivering Appliance Use Reviews (AURs) and ensuring patients, carers and healthcare professionals receive the guidance they need to achieve the best possible outcomes.
You’ll play a key role in improving patient confidence, reducing anxiety, promoting independence and supporting the effective and cost-efficient use of healthcare resources.
Reporting to the Head of Nursing, you'll be a trusted clinical expert and ambassador for Vyne.
This is a field-based role with regular travel required throughout your designated territory.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assess patients in their own homes or alternative care settings to identify their stoma care needs and recommend the most appropriate products and solutions to support their wellbeing
- Deliver Appliance Use Reviews (AURs) to support the safe, effective and cost-efficient use of prescribed products, ensuring patients understand how to use, store, dispose of and reorder products correctly
- Act as an ambassador for Vyne by promoting the value of our home delivery and prescription service to patients, carers and healthcare professionals
- Provide timely clinical feedback and recommendations to referring clinicians and GPs following patient assessments and reviews
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records in line with NMC guidance, company policies and professional standards
- Protect patient confidentiality and data in accordance with NHS and Optimum Medical information governance requirements
- Support care homes and healthcare providers through education, training and ongoing resident reviews, recording activity in line with company requirements
- Manage and prioritise your own caseload effectively to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate support
- Record clinical activity and outcomes using the Vyne nursing data collection process to support reporting, service development and continuous improvement
- Represent Vyne at study days, conferences and industry events, helping to build awareness of our service and share clinical best practice
- Maintain and develop your clinical knowledge and skills to support NMC registration, revalidation and ongoing professional growth
- Live our values every day by delivering exceptional standards of care, service and support for patients, customers and colleagues
