Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in food production, ensuring quality and presentation meet company requirements
- Supervise junior staff and support team management to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of food handling
- Organise and manage food stock levels, ensuring freshness and proper storage
- Contribute to menu development by offering creative ideas and feedback
- Serve food efficiently during service periods, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver seamless service experiences
- Uphold cleanliness standards by cleaning workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment regularly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality roles; restaurant experience is advantageous
- Demonstrated supervisory or team management skills for senior positions
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the establishment’s operating hours
- Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential for entry-level roles
