We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed Primary Support Worker to join our team at Ruthvenfield Primary School.
In this rewarding role, you will make a real difference to children's experiences by providing high-quality support, particularly for pupils with Additional Support Needs.
You will work closely with staff, parents and partners to support children to engage successfully in their learning through our nurturing and restorative approach. You will help create a positive, inclusive learning environment and use a range of strategies to meet individual needs in a kind, patient and caring manner.
You will work collaboratively as part of our team, contributing to planning and reviewing support to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and will carry out your duties in line with local and national guidance, school policies and under the direction of the Head Teacher.
As a small school, we are looking for someone who is flexible, proactive and committed to helping all children thrive academically, socially and emotionally. You will play an important role in ensuring every child feels valued, supported and included as a member of our school community.
You will:
- have experience of working with children in an educational, childcare or similar setting, particularly those with Additional Support Needs

- be able to build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
- have effective communication and interpersonal skills
- be calm, patient and nurturing in your approach
- work effectively as part of a team and respond positively to direction from teaching staff

- support children to develop independence, resilience and confidence
- be committed to promoting equity, inclusion and positive outcomes for all learners
