The short version
I run a portfolio of ventures alongside a demanding day job. I'm looking for a capable, switched-on right hand who can take real ownership of the moving parts, not just tick off tasks.
This is a permanent, flexible, part-time role built around real life. It would suit someone who wants meaningful, varied work that fits around the school run or other commitments, and who gets a kick out of bringing order to a busy, fast-moving world.
If you're the kind of person who spots the thing that's about to be forgotten before it's forgotten, and quietly fixes it, keep reading.
What you'd own
You won't do everything at once. We'll start with the areas where you'll make the biggest difference, then add more as you find your feet:
- Keeping the property side running: guest and tenant communication, booking calendars, coordinating cleaners and turnovers, chasing tradespeople, and staying on top of compliance dates.
- Taming the admin and the diary: my inbox, paperwork, reminders, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks across everything I've got on.
- Capturing and chasing the projects: helping turn the ideas in my head into actual plans with deadlines, and keeping them moving.
As you settle in, the role grows into project work (a hospitality launch) and supporting other ventures. You'd also lend a hand to my partner from time to time.
The person I'm looking for
The single most important quality is being one step ahead: anticipating, reminding, and taking things off my plate rather than adding to it. Beyond that:
- Organised and proactive, with the confidence to take ownership and run with things.
- A clear, capable communicator, comfortable dealing with guests, suppliers and contacts on my behalf.
- Discreet and trustworthy, as you'll see both business and personal matters.
- Calm and adaptable, happy switching between very different tasks in a single day.
- Comfortable with everyday tech (email, calendars, shared documents, booking platforms).
Experience as a PA, EA, office or operations manager is welcome, but I care far more about how your mind works than your job titles. If you've run a busy household, a team, a project, or a small business to a tight schedule, that absolutely counts.
The arrangement
- Hours: Roughly 15-25 hours a week, flexible. We'll agree a pattern that works for us both, and it's term-time / school-hours friendly. Expect it to be busier for the first couple of months while we get everything set up, then settle into a steadier baseline with busier spells around specific projects or seasons.
- Pay: £18-£23 per hour, depending on experience.
- Location: Based in and around Wolverhampton. A hybrid mix, some tasks on-site or out and about, plenty that can be done remotely.
- Type: Permanent, part-time.
- Start: As soon as I find the right person.
