SUPPORT WORKER – COMPLEX CARE AND SUPPORTED LIVING
Location: Leicester
Pay: £13.45 per hour
Contract: Full-time
Shifts: Days, nights, weekends and bank holidays
Please note: This role does not include sleep-in shifts.

About the role
BSL Care Services Ltd is looking for compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our supported living and complex care services in Leicester.
You will support adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and complex care requirements to live as independently as possible. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to people’s lives while developing your career in health and social care.
Previous care experience is desirable, but applicants with the right values, transferable skills and willingness to learn may also be considered.
Your responsibilities
- Delivering safe, respectful and person-centred support
- Supporting People We Support with daily living and personal care where required
- Promoting independence, dignity, choice and community participation
- Supporting with meals, shopping, appointments and household activities
- Administering medication once trained and assessed as competent
- Following care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans
- Completing accurate daily notes, medication records and incident reports
- Recognising and reporting safeguarding, health or wellbeing concerns
- Supporting people who may display behaviours of concern
- Working positively with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals
- Maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Attending training, supervision and team meetings

- Previous experience in adult social care or complex care is desirable
- Medication experience is desirable but not essential
- A Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care is desirable, or a willingness to work towards one
- A full UK driving licence is desirable
- An existing right to work in the UK that remains valid for at least two years from the proposed start date

- A satisfactory enhanced DBS and relevant barred-list check
- Satisfactory employment references and pre-employment checks
