Job Overview

Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, and other light snacks.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service.
- Handle cash transactions using the till system, ensuring correct change is given.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, dining areas, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold food safety standards at all times.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in serving roles within cafés or hospitality environments is desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour towards customers.
- Organised with good attention to detail to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
