If you're building an IT sales career and hungry to build something real, this is your chance to join a business that will actually invest in getting you there.
The opportunity
Prism, part of Focus Group, a £1bn-valued tech scale-up with 1,300+ employees and 30,000+ UK customers is looking for an Account Manager to own a panel of existing client accounts from day one. Based at our Congleton office, you'll be the person clients call when they need something sorted, and the one who spots the opportunity to grow the account further.
This isn't a role where you sink or swim. You'll get structured development, real coaching, and a clear path to progress as you prove yourself.
Does this sound like you?
-
You're early in your sales or account management career — maybe a year or two in, and you know you've got more in you than your current role is stretching.
-
You're a strong communicator who wants a real book of business — you can hold a room, build trust fast, and you're ready to be trusted with client relationships that matter.
-
You want a business that grows with you — you're not looking for a job, you're looking for the start of a career, with a company that'll back you to get there.
What you'll do
-
Own your accounts: manage a panel of existing clients, delivering advice and service by phone, face to face and in writing
-
Grow revenue: cross-sell, upsell and generate new subscription business from your existing panel
-
Protect what's yours: proactive account management that keeps clients happy and retains revenue
-
Solve problems fast: resolve service queries and escalations properly, not just quickly
-
Open doors: promote the client portal, run CIO sessions, and generate leads for new business
What we're looking for
-
Experience in account management, sales, or a client-facing role within IT
- A broad understanding of IT sales, and ideally some familiarity with the products we sell, such as the Microsoft stack
-
Drive and ambition — someone building a career
-
Excellent telephone, written and face-to-face communication skills
-
Good time management and the ability to prioritise a busy workload
-
Accuracy and attention to detail
