To provide general domestic cleaning, Laundry and Servicing duties in the Nursing Home by providing a full and effective housekeeping service and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleaning of bedrooms, en-suites, bathrooms, sluices, toilets, treatment room floors, life area, staircases and landings. Static mopping of floors, walls and blinds and damp mopping of floors.
- Hoovering of bedrooms and polishing furniture. Cleaning of tiles, paintwork, mirrors and windows on all internal surfaces.
- Hovering of lounge areas, corridors, rooms and any other carpeted areas.
- Shampooing of carpets if necessary or at the request of the senior person in charge.
- Damp dusting of all surfaces.
- Emptying and cleaning of all refuse bins. Replacing bin liners and depositing refuse at the central collection point.
- Replenishment of soap, toilet rolls and other consumables. Maintenance of equipment and materials in a clean and tidy condition.
- Care and cleaning of all cleaning equipment and its storage area.
- Promptly reporting any faults in the fabric of the Nursing Home, furniture, fittings and machinery to the senior person in charge.
- Ensure resident satisfaction where possible and report any complaints to the Manager immediately.
- Respond in a polite and professional manner to the residents at all times and never enter a residents room without knocking.
- Any other appropriate duties as allocated by the Housekeeper to ensure smooth running of the Home.
- Working in the Laundry using machinery, Washing, Ironing and Folding clothes then returning to rooms
Pay: £12.85 per hour
