SIA Security Shift Supervisor – Construction Site

Syrex Protection is recruiting four experienced SIA Security Shift Supervisors for a major construction project in Central London.
This is a hands-on supervisory position requiring strong leadership, clear communication and proven experience working within a live construction environment. You will be responsible for supervising the security team during your shift and maintaining a safe, professional and controlled site.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and support the security officers assigned to your shift.
- Maintain effective access and egress control for personnel, visitors and vehicles.
- Ensure site security procedures and client instructions are followed.
- Conduct shift briefings, patrols and security checks.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, occurrence books and incident reports.
- Manage shift handovers and communicate outstanding issues clearly.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies and security concerns.
- Liaise professionally with the client, construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
- Monitor officer performance, attendance, presentation and conduct.
- Escalate security risks, breaches and operational concerns promptly.
Essential requirements
Applicants must have:
- A valid frontline SIA licence.
- A valid CSCS card.
- Previous security experience within the construction industry.
- Previous supervisory or team-leading experience.
- The ability to work in Central London.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good report-writing and incident-management skills.
- A professional, reliable and confident approach.
- The right to work in the UK.
