Dental Nursing Position
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a supportive environment for patients.
We are ideally looking for someone to work 3 or 4 days a week, but may consider full-time.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists/hygienist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Provide direct patient care, including preparing patients for treatment and ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with practice protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans, oral hygiene instructions, and post-operative care.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures.
- Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance practice efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Stay updated on dental technologies and practices through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is required
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for patient care and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
- Proficiency in IT systems (Dentally) related to dental practice management is advantageous.
- A valid qualification in Dental Nursing or equivalent certification is desirable.
