About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable After-School Club Assistant Manager to join our team. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment for children attending our after-school programme. The successful candidate will plan and supervise activities, support children's development, and ensure their wellbeing at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children during after-school sessions.
- Plan and deliver a range of fun, educational, and recreational activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and inclusion.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of all children in line with safeguarding policies.
- Prepare and organise resources and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and school staff.
- Maintain attendance records and relevant documentation.
- Support snack times and daily routines as required.
Requirements
- Experience working with children (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead activities and engage groups of children.
- A caring, patient, and positive attitude.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Relevant childcare, education, sports coaching, or youth work qualifications are desirable.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Term time only contract (39 weeks a year)
