We are seeking reliable HGV Class 1 (C+E) Day Drivers for work within a general haulage environment for immediate start
Shift Details
- Monday to Friday 0500-0700hrs start time
- General haulage / curtainsider work
- Long shift opportunities
Payrates:
Mon to Fri - £22 (LTD), £18 (PAYE), £20.17 (rolled up holiday)
Saturday - £23 (LTD), £19 (PAYE), £21.14 (rolled up holiday)
Sunday - £24 (LTD), £20 (PAYE), £22.41 (rolled up holiday)
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 1 HGV, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Complete vehicle checks before and after each shift to ensure roadworthiness
- Carry out general haulage work using curtainsider vehicles
- Ensure loads are secure and transported safely
- Complete delivery paperwork, manifests and PODs accurately
- Communicate effectively with the transport office and customers
- Maintain a professional attitude while representing the company
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card and Driver CPC
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Experience with general haulage/curtain-sided trailers preferred
- No IN/DD penalty points
- Reliable and professional approach to work
